Default Blinking Ethernet Light

Recently I moved (not anywhere far from my old house) but ever since then the ethernet light on my router has been blinking. I'm used to the activity light blinking, that's always been normal, however the ethernet light has never blinked before. It blinks with a slower frequency than my activity light.

It hasn't really caused any problems until today, when my Guild Wars connection has been extremely laggy, with dc's and high pings. Whats wierder is a semi- dc. I'm still in game and able to move, but when I click on skills they flash the same way as they would if you had dc'd, and when I try to click on names and follow people, I can't seem to "connect" with them, most likely because I'm in a different place then the game shows me.

I've restarted Guild Wars, my Modem, and my computer. I'm thinking it has to do with the cable going from my computer to my modem. There usually is a light on the back of my computer on the ethernet port- a green LED, but there is also an organge LED the flashes too.

id say either the cable is damaged from the move or something else id try using a borrowed cable first since its cheapest to get if you need to get a new one

Ok I tried a new cable, but the problem is still here. It is not just GW, I'm guessing it's my ISP, as my modem has worked the last few days since I have had it set up.

So The problem is still continuing with a new ethernet cable. Some pages I can't load up, and In GW It refuses to load some areas and just sits there. My ethernet light is still blinking. I don't really want to buy another modem to try see if that's the problem. I have no router, but idk if there would still be some setting somewhere that could be causing the problem.

try unplugging your modem and router for about 10 seconds and starting up your modem first and router second then restart your computer afterwards. ive done that before and it works then if that dont wrk try calling your access provider they may be able to pin point the problem better then i can here

Ok this is fixed, it was an issue of accounts on the modem contradicting each other from house to house.
